FRATERNAL GREETINGS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London. March 3. Mr. Holnian, Attorney-Genera! of New Soutli Wales, lias arrived. He visited President Poincare en route at the Elvsee, and expressed the Sydney Bar's eongratnlations on his election. M. Poincare was greatly pleased, and begged Mr. Holnian to convey acknowledgments to his Sydney confreres of the tribute, with winch he was much touched. He regarded it as proof of the fraternity of students of the law throughout the world, and expressed hit warmest, interest in Australia's progress, In a lengthy interview the President also discussed prison administration ii; Xew Caledonia. M. Poincare raised thi? question himself, stating that Cabinet was taking steps to investigate eertair obsolete methods about, which Mr. Hoi man had previously communicated will the French Minister of Justice.
