THE BONDS OF EMPIRE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Capetown. March 3. Sir X. 1> Waal, in the course of a speech at the banquet given on the arrival of H.M.S. Xew Zealand at Capetown, said that South Africans considered that they were part of the Empire and for ever impressed with the desirability of a larger patriotism of Empire. They might hope to see a South African nationalism, which would bring with it a realisation of South Ainca's duty to he in readiness always to do her "share with the other Do millions in maintaining the Empire ii its present proud position.
