It is alleged that Walter Seily, formerly in the livery business and latterly a quarryman, quarrelled with his wife and after threatening to murder the whole family, loaded a double-barrelled gun. Kate, his daughter, aged 15 years, dash- ( ed to secure the weapon, which exploded in the struggle, one barrel smashing the father's skull. NEW TELEGRAPH SYSTEM . Sydney, March 3. The Government is trying a new telegraph system, which perforates and prints messages at rates up to 120 words a minute.
