Several petitions have been presented to the Parliamentary Industrial Committee from textile mannfacturi?ig organisations, protesting against t,u' idea of war, especially with Servia, as tiireatening ruin to the whole of the country's commerce. The petitioners energetically protest against the coteries who artanxious to force war.
ASSISTING MONTENEGRO. Vienna, February 28. The Allgemeine Zeitung states that thirty thousand Servians, with 34 siege and field guns, are now in Southern Macedonia, marching on Salonika, and will embark in Greek transports to assist the Montenegrins at Scutari. A CONSPIRACY DISCOVERED. Constantinople. February 28. A conspiracy has lieen discovered against the Government, organised by Lufti Bey. secretary to Prince Scbaseddin. Several arrests have been made, including military officers. THE ATTACK ON ADRIANOPLE. Constantinople, February 2S. The bombardment of East Adrianople is decreasing. PEACE NEGOTIATIONS. Sofia, February 28. The Porte, through Rnssia, has tentatively offered to negotiate for peace, on the Bulgarian basis, including the surrender of Adrianople, and hoping that other conditions will be simultaneously discussed. I CAPTURE OF FOODSTUFFS. Sofia, February 28. A Bulgarian warship captured a Turkish vessel off Verna. laden with three million pounds of barley. Corfu, February 28. A Greek destroyer captured a Turkish merchantman off Marodia with a cargo of foodstuffs intended for the Janina garrison.
