The following weather summary and forecast was Issued by the Dominion Meteorologist at 5 p.m.:—Summary: The weather has been fair to-day generally, Irat a. southerly gale with showery weather has been reported at East Cape. The winds have been variable, with moderate westerlies and southerlies predominating. The barometer is now high everywhere. Forecast: Present indications are for fair to cloudy weather. with mild, hazy conditions, winds, vari- ; able, with moderate. to strong northerlies, prevailing shortly, and the barometer falling everywhere.
