A representative from the Employers' Committee explained their movement and (lie ireneraj desire for Saturday, and said it rested with (he emplovees to assist in the movement, seeinii that the holiday was made for their' benefit. Several employers spoke aliont the benefits o" a Saturday holiday. especially in sports and military matters, and ' a strong committee was formed to cam- forward the movement. An enengctic lady canvasser was secured to assist. The petition for the poll alhas the required number of names.
