HOUSE PARTIALLY DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Wednesday. Fire partially destroyed a !)-roomrd house in Hill street owned by A. Hall and. occupied by Mr. Simm, manager of the D.I.C. The house was insured for £!).">0 and the. furniture for £751) in the National Office.
TITE MAT ATI: A BLAZE. Timaru, Last Night. The discharge of lire and waterdamaged (lax from the Matatua is proceeding to-day. Sixty to seven more or less fire-damaged bales have been got out. some being but little charred, wdiile others were soaked.
