Summary.—Gloomy and misty weather hag prevailed, with rain, in most Crts of the country and thunderstorms ve occurred in siveral parts. The lowest barometer pressure i- reported about Cook Strait. Forecast—l'rocnt indications are for strong westerly winds, Veering to southerly in and northward of Cook Strait, and sonth-easterlv elsewhere. Rain is probable generally, but •specially about Cook Strait and the East Coast of the South Island. The tmrometer is rising everywhere soon and % cool change is. probable soon.
