The* second annual Conference of the New Zealand Freezing Works and Allied Trades' Association was held in Wellington yesterday, and to-day delegates were iiivM'iit from" unions throughout the Dominion, with the exception of the Wellington Industrial District. Tt wa- agreed to instruct the executive council' to again approach the New Zealand Slaughtermen's Federation with a, view of the amalgamation of the two organisations. Among other decisions of the Conference was one: "That no union ov unions in (lie N<c\v Zealand Freezing Works Allied Trades Association of Workers join or become affiliated to. the New 'Zealand Federation of Labor, ihe United Labor Party, or any other Dominion Labor Federation Party or League that may hereafter come into existenee. unless llw majority of the members of th° whole of the above-men-tioned Free/in? Works and Allied Trades Association of Workers decide bv ballot, that the Association as a whole shall join or become all'ilialod to such Doniini jon Labor Federation Party or League.
