FIRES.

MOTOR GARAGE DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. At 3.30 o'clock this morning a fire broke out in a motor garage belonging to W. (1 O'Connor. Otaiitau. The flames had secured a firm hold when discovered and nothing was saved. O'Connor had for the past three years carried on business as a motor and cycle agent. All the stock, which was covered 'by a policy of £175, and included a motor car. was destroyed. Adjacent to the building was a four-roomed cottage belonging to R. Mclvor. and this was also destroyed. The place was untenanted. The insurances on the buildings are not available, but O'Connor estimates his loss at between £SOO and £6OO.
