The barometer rose in the south this morning, hut the conditions "• are still threatening. Forecast: Present indications are for a further fall in, the barometer, probably fast in the south, shortly;' increasing haze and cloudiness and -warm and humid conditions, preceding;rain in most parts of the country, northerly winds predominating and increasing in'force everywhere soon.
