C'OXOI'EC ATIONAL UNION'S VIEWS.

Per Press Association. Timaru. Last Night. At the Congregational Union Conference to-day, after the reading of a paper and the resultant discussion, the Rev. Hind moved a resolution approving the platform of the Bible-in-SVhools' League, and expressing "ratification at the favourable attitude of other churches and 'assuring them of its hearty co-operation, approving of the referendum, and asking the Government.to provide the necessary machinery. An amendment was moved by the Rev. ,T. R. Glasson, that while the Union is prepared to consider a scheme for the introduction of Bibleteaching unreservedly, it condemns the introduction of sectarian teaching by right of entry, or otherwise." The amendment was carried by 40 to 2, and subsequently as a substantive motion, unanimously.
