A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. Per Press Association. Marton, Last Night. . The Marton District A. and P. Association initial show was held to-day in '■ boisterous weather on the racecourse. '■ The attendance was very good and the financial results far exceed all expecta- '" tions. One and all voted the show a big ' r success, with every prospect of its inrs creasing. It was officially opened by the a Prime Minister,who heartily congratulated the Association and the settlers »n their successful efforts. Marton lends itself admirably to a good agricultural show, being the centre of one of the finest districts he had ever toured. He was exceedingly pleased with such a vast stretch of fine country.
