REFUSED AN ASSISTED PASSAGE. By Cable—Press London, February 11. Knight, the Hunslct vicar, who was accepted as an assisted emigrant to Victoria, wrote to Mr. T. Mackenzie, New Zealand High Commissioner, but was refused an assisted passage, as evidence of his fanning experience was not produced.
