i - ANNUAL DISTRICT' MEETIXC. The annual district meeting of the Taranaki Foresters' Courts was held at Hawera yesterday. District Chief Ranger Bro. R. Fawceitt (Court higlewood Forest) in the chair. Other officers present were District Treasurer Bro. fl. K. Cattley (Court Taranaki), . Distjfc Beadle Bro. A. .7. Way (Court TaranaTi) and District Secretary Bro. C. Tuidiridge (Court Waireka). The following lodge delegates were also present:—P.C.R. Bro. E. A. (■) old ins (Court Taranaki), P.D.C.R. Bro. A. J. Tunbridge and P.C.R. Bro. T. N. Avcrv (Court Waireka). Bio. A. W T . Hoskin '(Court Raleigh). P.C.R. W. J. McNiven (Court Egmont). P.l'.R. ro. W. Sullivan (Court Stratford), P.C.R. Bro. A. Caldwell and P.C.R. W. E. Ilmderson (Court Ingluewood Forest). P.C.R. Bro. A. Rogers (Court Pride of Eltham). and P.C.R. Sister ,T. Kibbv (Court Pride of New Plymouth). P.C.R. Sister A. Watkins (Court Lady Islington). The annual report showed that matters are extremely satisfactory in evendepartment. The membership has increased throughout the district, whilst the various lodge funds show a substantial increase. A letter was received from the Sydney District re placing clearance members on the same footing throughout New Zealand and the Commonwealth, and it was resolved that, the meeting was in entire sympathy and would co-operate in any proposal 'eminating from the Sydney District. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Bros. .Tesson, District Secretary of Wellington, for the work done in connection with the formation of a Subsidiary Hiffh Court for New Zealand. Bros. 0. H. Foote. A. H. Arnold and C. T. Mills were re-elected auditors for the ensuing year. A recommendation was made that n new District office be created, viz.. District Woodward. It was decided to hold the next halfyearly meeting at Eltham. Election of officers resulted: D.C.B. Bro. B. V. Kivell (Court Stratford). D.S.C.R. Bro. A. J. Wav (Court Taranaki). District Beadle Bro. A. Coldwell (Court Tnglewood Forest). Tt was resolved that the name of 'P.D.C.R. Bro. E. Faweett (Court Tnglewood Forest) be placed on the meritboard, and that he bo presented with n P.C.R. jewel. P.D.C.R. Bro. A. Timbridjre then presented the jewel. Enlopistie reference was made (o ihe work of the District Soerctnrv Bro. C. Tunbrid<re and the District Treasurer Bro. TT. P. Cattler. The honorarium of the former was increased by £lO. and <if the latter by £5. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded! Court Ecrnont for the hospitable manner in which they bad received the dele-' crates, whose hospitality included a sumptuous dinner.
