SPECIAL TRAMWAY LOAN OF £55,000. rFHE Council of the Borough of New Plymouth HEREBY GIVES PUBLIC NOTICE that it proposes to borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £55,000. (a) The particular purpose for which the loan is required is the construction of a tramway on the overhead trolley electric tramway system from the Waiwakaiho Bridge, Fitzroy, to (he root of the Breakwater, via Devon, Egmont and St. Aubyn streets, with a branch along Devon street, from Egmont street to Morley street. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £55,000, at a rate not exceeding 5 per cent., with a Sinking Fund of K per cent, additionn!.
