KAIIOTU. (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of those interesting in forming a gun club wa.-, held in the hull on Saturday, Ist inst. It was decided to form a club, and Messrs If. Phillips. J. Phillips, A. Phillips, A. Bradley. F. Baker ami W. Creen "'ere elected a. committee. The ITall 'Committee are making preparations for 'he bazaar to be held on April l(i. Quite a large number of ladies turned out on Wednesday and formed a strong ladies' committee. Several of our local llille Club members journeyed to town to attend the Tarnuaki Rifle Association's annual shoot. Farms still continue to change hands in our district. Mr. Crisp, of Kahui road, lias disposed of his farm to Mr. W. Fleming, and Mr. Glentworth has sold out to a local resident. Mr. Glentworth • has purchased a farm at the White Cliffs, and intends leaving this district at the end of March. The cows are not keeping up their milk returns at all well this season, seeing there is so much feed about. Tests are also below the average for this time of the year.
