TO-DAY'S BUSINESS. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The business session opened to-day. Greetings were received from the Moderator of the Presbyterian Assembly and. from Foreign Mission*. It was "resolved to forward a loyal address to the Governor. Mr. Alexander, representing the ..Society of' Friends in England, addressed the Conference, urging greater efforts, to .. Christianise the nations in order to se-■ cure universal place. / Sessional committees were set up and it was decided to retain the departmental offices of connexional secretary, > organising secretary of Home Missions, and principal of the theological instltuton as conducted formerly by the Methodist Church. The first reading of stations- was deferred, and it was decided that for the present there be only two readings, the second not to be takem until the day following its presentation by the committee. Ministers are to be in their pew circuits by the third Sunday in April... A special legal committee was authorised to deal with any matters arising nut of the union that may necessitate seeking further legislative powers. The Conference adjourned till to-nior-row morning.
