Anion;;.-! those penned were a nice line of p.b. brown Leghorn pullets, just on the point of laying, which were passed in at us 3(1. Prices were well maintained as under:—liens (old) Is 7d to 2s 3d, young Is 9d to 2s lOd, pullets (forward) 2s to 3s lid, young Is (id to 2s 2d, cockerels (young) Is to Is 7d, fat 2s to 2s Bd, ducks Is 8d to 2s, drakes 2s to 2s 2d, bantams lOd to Is Id, chicks 4d to 7d. The usual line of auction sundries realised satisfactory rates. Fruit.—Since our last report this has rome forward in large quantities from Xolson, Auckland and Hawke's Bay. Prices are on the downward grade, and anyone requiring jam fruit would do well to secure it immediately.
