At the Supreme Court George Waters ; pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering and theft, and was remanded for medical examination to .determine whether he was sane or not. Herbert Wallace, alias Worman, convicted of theft of money from the steamer Mangapapa, was sentenced to six months' > imprisonment. 1 In the assault and robbery ease, John Condon and Thomas Donovan were ' found guiHy. and William Henry Adams , acquitted. Tn regard to Donovan, the } Judge said he' did not consider the 1 1 South African convictions sufficiently P \ clearly made out, but thought the eon- . [ victio'n at Hobart was • satisfactorily t proved. Condon and Donovan were each I sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
