THE BURWOOD MINE. A SETTLEMENT PROBABLE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, February 5. The Burwood wheelers will resume pending consideration of their claims under the Arbitration Act. The Employers' Federation has consequently granted the miners' request for a conference, and the miners have abandoned their aggregate meeting. It is reported that some Burwood miners are opposed to resuming work, unless the wheelers join the Employees' Federation. If such a condition is forced upon the wheelers it will cause a hitch. . It is not anticipated that a hitch will result in connection with the Burwood mine, but apprehension is, however, : caused by the stoppage at Pelaw Main, 1 where the disagreement with the clip- 1 pel's was no sooner settled than trouble with the borers rendered the colliery idle.
