He thought that if" the crusher site could be got" on Mr. J. Locke's property the settlers would bo able to get the metal much cheaper than having to cart it from the YVaiwakaihi depot. Mr. Skelton would be willing to put on a team or two in carting "and with (he assistance of other settlers would do the whole formation. The road was very close to metal in the Waiwa- I kaiho River, but was in a very bad ' way. It was decided to put the work in hand as early as possible next financial ' year.
