KILLED BY A FALLING TREE. Per Press Association. Whangarei, Saturday. Thomas Ellis and his three sons were beating out fires at Jordan yesterday when a tree fell, striking the second son. Donald, on the head and back, causing deep wounds and bruises from which he died three hours later of shock. Deceased was 13 years of age. ACCIDKXTA LY SHOT. Dunedin. Saturday. Edith Grace Goodson, aged 14 years, of Saddle Hill, received severe injuries through being accidentally shot by her brother. The latter was walking out of the house when the trigger of his gun caught on something and the weapon was discharged, the contents lodging in the girl's neck and shoulders. She has been removed to the hospital.
