Information has been received at Cairns that the Innamincka is on the Barrier Reef, off Port Douglas, but communication is interrupted. Experts consider that if she is oil the Alexandra reef the position is better than if she is on the AVentworth reef, as the latter is more exposed. IVhen last heard of. prior to the present mishap, the vessel was sheltering at Cape Grafton. It is difficult to understand how she got twenty-live miles north. Received 2. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, January 2.
Whether tliere are any passengers aboard tin? Innamincka is iinkiiown hero. There would probably be only a few at that stage of the voyage. Brisbane, January 2. lioweu reports that Cairns and fnnisfail are still isolated. . It is rumored here that (he Imisunincka has been towed into Cairns by the Kuranda. THE PASSENGERS SAFE. Received 2, 5.5 p.m. Brisbane, February 2. There is no news of the northern cyelone. the wires being down. The innamincka is still oil the reef, and a small steamer is attempting to tow her oil'. A message from Port Douglas says that the steamer Cecil Rhodes has sailed for Cairns with the Innamineka's passengers aboard. Received 3, 12.55 a.m. Brisbane, February 2. The Innamineka's passengers are aboard the Wyandra, bound either for here or for Sydney.
