Wheat is slow and unchanged; 38s was bid for a Victorian steamer's cargo, February shipment, and 38s 3d is asked for a Liverpool March shipment. Australian spot is in fair demand at 39s 6d to 40s 6d. Stocks are moderate. Good New Zealand longberried has been sold at 38s, inferior 36s to 375. ■ Flour—The retail'trade quotes 27s 6d and 28s at store. There is no forward business. Oats.—There is a krge supply and good business. A Gartons brought 24s 6d to 265; sparrowbills 24s"to 24s 6d • La Plata January-February shipment 15a Beans are in good demand. New Zealand maples, 30s; Tasmanians, 435. • Butter is very dull, and there is a limited demand for colonial, except for choicest, which is clearing fairly. Danish, 125s to 1275 ; Australian choicest, 106s to 108s (a few Victorians 1165)7 unsalted 108s to 110s; New Zealand, ' UOs to 112s (a few sales at 114s); unsalted, scarce at 116s (occasionally 118s) Cheese—Steady at 60s to Ols.'
