Sir,—Can the chairman of the Ornate Co-operative Dairy Company inform the dairymen of this locality why it costs tin- sum of £2 16s per ton to cart their eieam to ihe_ Qjoala fa stony (three miles), when it only costs #ser ton to cart other produce the same, distance, roughly three miles? Also, how much ot this £2 16s per ton goes towards the upkeep and wear and tear, of the present Main South road, at present a-very difficult problem to handled , s His reply v;ill be thankfully received by til.—l am efc -> 1 COW HAIR.' •
