Arrangements have been concluded oy which the Peninsula and Orient Company will represent the Cunard Company's interests in India, the Far East and Australia, and the Cunard Company will represent the Peninsula Company's interests in the United States and Canada. These arrangements are supposed to have originated the unfounded amalgamation rumors.
