Trevanion's butler, was closely examined concerning a bottle of hock Trevanion drank in Roe's\ presence immediately prior to his becoming unconscious. Trevanion's mother stated in evidence that she was on good terms with her son. She warned him about giving Roc money. When she reached Brighton, Roe objected to an inquest. He claimed ownership of the flat, and said he would put her out if she made any fuss. He locked the bedroom and pocketed th« key. Later. Roe desired to enter, and she accompanied him. After Roe was asleep she searched the de.ith-room alone, and found u man's handkerchief, not her son's, with an empty cachet beneath, it which had been opened with a pen or knife. She did not believe her sun died by his own hand. Roe's evidence will be taken on Thursday.
