By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington,' £ast Night. The South' Melbourne cricket team concluded the final match of the toui, against the Wellington Wednesday team, to-day. Wellington resumed batting, their second innings totalling 92 (Blamires 37, and Wilson 15, being the only double-figure scorers, despite the excellent wicket). Gillier was mainly responsible for their failure, securing four wickets for 24 runs, Kenny assisting with four for 27. Requiring 176 to win, the Australians had no difficult task, and succeeded in scoring them for the loss of two wickets. Scott 50, and Ktnny 52, played exhilarating cricket, the latter hitting two pretty sixes. Of the two wickets which fell, Harris secured cne for 52, and Mclntyre one for 34 WAITARA v. INGLEWOOD B.

Yesterday saw the commencement of the second round of the Thursday competition. Playing at Inglewood, Waitara galloped over the local B eleven to the tune of 148 runs. Inglewood batted first, and Sommerville and Skelton had little difficulty in capturing all their wickets at the expense of only 34 runs. For Waitara, Ilicks made the pace warm right from the jump, contributing 87 runs. Four other members of the eleven also secured double figures. Results:— INGLEWOOD B.—First Innings. L.
