LIFE-SAVING EXHIBITION. <" ' _ Thousands of persons, including hires contingents from the, country, wended their way to the East End' Bathing Rgt serve yesterday on the occasion of the second of this season's picnics. There were hundreds of picnic parties under the shade of the pines, and the beach itself presented a perfect panorama, with its thousands of men, women, and children scattered 1 like the very sand. Some bathed, many paddled, others (the children} did the round of the swing-boats, the "ocean wave" and the like, for there was such a diversity of amusement.
