NEW ORGANISATION' PROPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. At the Labor Conference Mr. Tregcar announced that he and Professor Mills had been appointed to represent the Labor Party executive. Mr. Webb moved that the conference affirms the necessity of one organisation in the industrial field for the advancement and protection of organised labor. Mr. \oung moved as an amendment that the conference is of opinion that delegates should at once proceed to draft a provisional constitution, for the creation of a Federation of Workers for political and industrial action, such constitution to he .submitted to a plebiscite vote of all members. of each union in New Zealand, including those unions now forming units of the Federation of Labor. The majority vote of members of each union to rule and bind all members of such union.

The conference decided, by ,60 votes to 39, that the questions should be discussed separately. Wellington, Last Night. At the Labor conference! this afternoon the debate was continued on Mr. P. C. Webb's motion ."that the conference affirms the necessity of one organisation in the industrial field for the advancement and protection of organised labor.' This was eventually carried by a 1 arge majority. A motion by Mr.' Mickey, "That until such time as one industrial organisation is brought into existence, Ihis conference maintaining that the solidarity of labor is a vital principle, allirms that in industrial upheavals by strikes (duly authorised by the controlling organisation) or lockout.-;, the delegates at Ibis conference should urge their unions to be behind the workers a fl'eciccl with financial, moral and. if necessary, other assistance. ,
