THE MANAWATC .MEETING. l>v Tdcjmipb— Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. The ninth annual meeting of the Manawatu Rifle Association was held to-day. The Linton Matcli was won by J. Loveday (Woodville), the Oroua Match by ,T. p,elk (Feilding). the Manawatu Match by 11. Wood (Bunnythorpe), the Teams Match by Karori No. 1. The championship wr ■; won In J. IT. I'urnell (Wanganui), J. Loveday (Woodville) being second.
A TRIANGULAR MATCH.
The Stratford Rifle Club, the New' Plymouth Defeiwe Rifle Club, and the "ll Company 11th Regiment Territorials will meet on the Rewa Rewa Range this afternoon in a triangular shooting contest. The conditions will be ten shots at 5300 and 1000 yards. Teams—Territorials: Lieutenant Hartnell, Col.-Sergt. Reg. Sole, Sergt.-Major Bond, Sergt. Evans, Cor pi. Mace, and Privates Hobson, Jury, Higgs, Delhi and McGahev. New Plymouth Rifle Club: President Humphries, Riflemen W. Bruce, F. J. Hill, W. Short, G. G. Grover, W. Winslade, T. Marctt. F. Nichols, J. Riddles, and G. E. TVianehard.
