Hie following weather summary and Hjfoaat was issued by the Government at 5 p.m.: Summary: westerly winds have prevailed. Huang to southerly in most parts of ■pTSouth Island. Hazy and cloudy has prevailed. Considerable His has fallen on the west coast and on Hk higher levels in the south. Rain is reported between Gape Palliser and Hukoura. The barometer is falling in' Hh north and rising in the south. Fore- ■ Bit: Present indications are for unHlttled and cloudy weather, with rain Hi most parts of the Dominion, with ■Rong northerly winds backing by east K> south-easterly riorthward of Farewell ■hit and Kaikoura, and southerly winds ■pevailing elsewhere. The barometer Hjßl probably fall considerably in the Borth, and rise unsteadily in the south, ptjnt the storm area northward of the pDominion now appears to be decreasing lib intensity.
