IN OTHER CENTRES. Wellington, Last Night. | At Wellington on Saturday the cup competition was continued in fine weather. College (Mcintosh 20), playing against East A, scored 98. McGin was the chief destructive agent, taking six wickets for 36. His contribution of 105 (not out) was also the main factor in the East A's total of 232 for tEe loss of eight wickets. His score included one hit for eight. Hntt scored 70 (Patton 23) against North, 216 for 7 wickets (Blacklock 97, Wilson 46, Crombie 28, Hiddlestone 25}. For North, Southall took four wickets for 39 runs. Central ■cored 15*2 (Robinson 57, Blamires 27) against East B, eight wickets for 76 (Bowles 24}. Petone totalled 135 (McMenamin 32, and Cate 30) in their match against South, who have lost nine wickets for 131 (Burton 52). Dunedin, Monday. Hot but showery weather prevailed on Saturday for the cricket matches. Carisbrook B defeated Opoho by 35 runs on the first innings. The former made 242 (Tuckwell 55). and Opoho replied with 207 and 93 for four wickets (Higgins 34). Tuckwell took two wickets for six runs. Carisbrook A made 161 and 96 (batting nine men) against Grange, 95 amd 139 (Downes 39. Bell 381. For Carisbrook Hopkins took lour wickets for 15, and, for Grange, Downes secured four for 31. Dunedin. 97 and 208 for three wickets (Johnston 79 and Bryden 36) defeated Albion, 107 and 172 (Shepherd 70).
