FIRES.

TWO CHILDREN BURNT TO DEATH;

By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A fatal fire occurred at Waitanguru, thirty miles west of Te Krnti, at 4.30 this morning. Two children of the postmaster (Walter Jones) were burnt to death. One of the boys was 2% years old, and the other 17 months, and they were the only children. It is surmised that the fire was caused by bush fires, which are numerous in the'district.
