A CHILD DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Waipawa, Friday. L. Ireland, aged eight years, was accidentally drowned while bathing yesterday. FATAL GUN ACCIDENT. Timaru, Last Night. At Winchester this evening two boys, Erie Wilks, aged nine, and his cousin, aged eight, were playing in a bedroom. The younger picked lift a gun, which was loaded, and discharged it, the charge entering Wilks' back. He died almost immediately.
