In all 44 ladies and 54 Tiien will take part, and in the championship singles there are 21 entrants. This event promises to be productive of very good tennis, as may be seen in the, fact that the competitors will include Ollivier, Wallace. Dickie Pearce, Hickson. Crifliths tiros.. C. The tournament is being well supported in and outside the district, hut disappointment is expressed that no entries have been received from Wanganui, especially in view of the fact that the local association invariably sends a good contingent to the tournament in that town. Players are reminded that they can obtain passes from I the secretary at Messrs. Webster and MeKellar's office.
