THE STORM CONTINUES. . , TRAFFIC DISORGANISED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London. January 13. The blizzard continues. The Mauretania was delayed at Liverpool for twenty-eight hours. The Celtic, from Queenstown, reports monstrous seas. She reduced speed on her trip across, and poured oil on the waters. The High Peak Railway has been blocked for three days. Thousands of workmen in the Peak stone quarries are idle. Snow broke an electric wire at Sheffield. It foil on the tramway, which , received a high charge of electricity. As a result, two horses were killed aiid two drivers who received a shock were unable to escape. Two workmen ran to their rescue, but they were struck down. Two others took Off their overcoats, stood on one. and threw the oilier to the stricken men, who were hauled out of danger. FATAL RAILWAY" ACCIDENT. London. January 13. The Leicester express, while' going at fifty miles an hour, collided with a Walsall train at Bromford Lane. Both trains were wrecked. A woman and child were injured. The accident, is attributed to snow affecting the signals. Three deaths resulted from the Bromford railway accident. KILLED BY THE SNOW. Received 14, 11.45 p.m. London, January 14. Several persons were overwhelmed and perished in the snowstorms.
