The Daily Telegraph says that the Government propose to delete from the Franchise Bill the occupation qualifications in respect to land and premises, leaving the qualification residential. This wdl revolutionise the City of London's status, reducing the electors from 31,000 to 3000. and ignoring financial and commercial interests. Other large centres will fare similarly.
