The captain lashed himself to the rijrjrinjr. and was rescued after twelve hours. Steamers were wrecked at Yarmouth and Hlyth. but the crews were rescued, after terrible experiences. Many small craft are ashore at Home, and the loss of life is serious. There are Hoods in Ola morgan and South Tipperary. Forty acres "of bog near Castlcrea slipped and threaten a hamlet. There was a hurricane in South Ireland, and several houses were blown down at Queenstown. A TRAIN SNOWED IP. VILLAGES ISOLATED. Received M. 12.25 a.m. London, January 13. The London express from Whitehaven ran into a lm«e drift near Rootle, and was snowed up all nitrht. The snowfall in the Peak district, is unparalleled. Manx' villages have been cut off.
