THE MOKAU FATALITY.
BODY RECOVERED. The body of Harold Hirst, who was drowned at. Mokau on Wednesday, was., found about ten 'miles north of the Awa-i kino River. Mr. W. Spcucc noticed ifc 'floating in the surf, and subsequently it wiiii washed ashore. A party organised by MrT" W. IT."■"Moves', principal of the 1 High School, left for the scene and conveyed the remains of the unfortunate lad =back=to =M ok an. Last night th e' body was brought on to New Plymouth. The track along the beach where the body was found was extremely difficult to negotiate, and a sledge had to be used for part of the journey. An inquest will lie held at Mokni; this morning. The. funeral will take place at 2 o'clock to-day '-■' -■■-'■"■
