WOOL SALE RECOItD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Wednesday. The individual offering of 7000 bales at Christchurch wool sales is very far from a Dominion record, as claimed. Five or six years ago Dalgety.'s put up 8100 bales in Wellington, and this week they offer 7505 bales. Last Friday at. the Napier sale the Farmers' Association auctioned 7170. Messrs. Wright and Stevenson, of .Dunedin. have also toppeft seven thousand bales.
WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. . Wellington, Wednesday. The Wellington wool sales opened today. There was a large attendance of buyers and a record catalogue, totalling nearly 20,000 bales. The wool is heavie? m condition, but, notwithstanding this prices show a drop of fully a halfpenny' on the December prices. American buying is slack, competition coming chiefly trom Bradford and the Continent. Local mills are also a factor in the sales
