The conference adjourned for twenty minutes, and the Allies then replied that the declaration did not meet their demands. The new proposal was not of a nature to lead to, an agreement therefore they would he obliged to suspend the conference. The Turks protested that the suspension was irregular, and desired to discuss it. They left the palace perturbed and excited. In an interview later th«y declared that the Allies had suspended the conference. hoping that Adrianople would lali m the interval.
