Summary.—The centre of a cyclonic . storm passed through Cook Strait on Monday night, and the weather in its Tear has been modified by a low pressure area still in evidence in the south. Rain has fallen in most parts of the Dominion, and southerly winds have predominated, with a rising barometer in the north. Forecast. —Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds, with a southerly tendency. Showery weather is probable on the West Coast and in the southern districts, and fair to cloudy weather prevailing elsewhere. The barometer is unsteady, but with a rising tendency.
