J road near Manga papa, which has since j been repaired. The crushing plant lias 1 finished crushing at Mutton Track depot, Egmo»t road, and has been removed out to Kent road depot, crushing 1524 yards of metal for the month. Thirty chains of metal have been laid down on the Waiwakaiho road, at a cost of£7G 17s Gd, exclusive of spreading. Sixteen yds: of metal have been crushed for the Hillsborough factory. Southern portion of Upland road; about BQch;.ins require forming up out of this. There is a hill to which it is of little use to try to do anything, and I recommend a deviation at this point, which will give a fair grade and will shorten the length of road. Mr D. B. McKee's request to remove fence; this fence cannot be of any inconvenience to the public and until such time as the council requires the earth it is better left as it stands, which prevents cattle from treading down the bank into the water-table. Two wooden culverts at Omata have broken during the month and have been . replaced with concrete 1 pipes. A start has been made with the formation of the Waireka road.
