In consequence of the Insurance Act the Guinness Brewery has dismissed four thousand employees and re-engaged them on conditions as to sick allowances. LONDON'S DOCTORS. Received January G, 11.5 p.m. London, January G. The Medical Association is calling up £40,000 of the £200,000 in the defence fund, hoping to prevent further doctors joining the panels. Out of 6500 doctors in London, one-tenth have joined the panels.
