Summary.—Rain has fallen in all of the country, and the barometer lag fallen everywhere, with high northerly winds generally. Forecast.—Present indications are for unsettled, cloudy, and colder weather, with rain generally, leavy on the East Coast of the South Island and about Cook Strait. Northerly "winds, strong to a gale, veering by west tq Bouth northward of the East Cape and Kawhia, and high easterly to southtasterly winds elsewhere. The barometer *3l continue to fall for a few hours, but is due to rise to-morrow.
