Received January 5, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, January 4. An airman named Faller carried five passengers for an hour in a military biplane, establishing a record. Paris, January 4. A hydroplane overturned at Rccamp; the mechanic was drowned, and the aviator was rescued. A MONOPLANE AT WELLINGTON. SUCCESSFUL FLIGHTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. A. W. Schacf had a successful trial of a new monoplane with an Anzeni engine at Lyall Bay this morning, achieving several short flights. It is the intention of Schaef to continue short flights until he has gained sufficient experience to attempt a long one. His performance was satisfactory in every way.
