NEW " WHITE HOPE." San Francisco, December 23. Tont Jones, Wolgast's manager, is about to add a heavyweight to his string of fighters. The new "hope" is Jesse Williard, the big Missourian, who has obtained a six - rounds -decision over McOarty. Jones predicts that he will win the championship.

RITCHIE AND WOLGAST. ' Sacramento (Cay.), Dec. 23, Ritchie will meet Wolgast in May, provided that Jones really means business, when, he says, he will post a side bet of a thousand dollars. The fight will tak/e place either in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Eitchie's theatrical engagements compel him to stay away from the ring for at least.-three months.

j PALZER AND McCARTY. Los Angeles, December 23. Opinions are varied as to the condition of Palzer. Several declare that he was- in poor 'health when he i arrived. He was suffering from a cold which he could not shake off, and had overworked himself. It was said that he cannot be' at his best when he meets MoCarty. Palzer's manager, Tom O'Rourke, scoffs J at the idea that Palzer is not fit.
