VITAL STATISTICS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last sight. The vital statistics for December are as follows, the figures for the corresponding month of last year belhjg given in parenthesis: Births 128 (137)/deaths G5 (52), marriages 91 (108). The figures for the year are:—Births.„lßos (163), deaths 869 (81G), (790). The births registered this year are the highest since 1882, when the record'of 1871 was recorded. '
PRESBYTERIAN BIBLE-CLASS CONFERENCE. < Tiniiaru, Tuesday. . The Presbyterian Bible-class Conference now being he'kl at Temuka is. proving very successful, about 500 delegates from all parts being present, wifji Rev. G. H. Balfour president and Rcv.'A. W.
